This blog post is adapted and expanded from a Local Business Spotlight originally published by Union Township, Clermont County in their Winter 2025 community newsletter, recognizing TruCraft as a trusted Union Township roofing company.
Union Township isn’t just where TruCraft works—it’s home. As a Union Township roofing company built on family values and veteran service, our roots in this community shape everything we do.
In its Winter 2025 newsletter, Union Township featured TruCraft as a local business rooted in family values, veteran service, and a commitment to craftsmanship. We’re grateful for that recognition and wanted to share more of the story behind how TruCraft was built—and why our connection to this community continues to matter.
A Union Township Roofing Company Built on Family and Craftsmanship
TruCraft was founded in 2010 by Rod Sparks, who gained early experience working alongside his father in the roofing trade. Those early years shaped TruCraft’s approach to business: do the work right, stand behind it, and treat people with respect.
Today, TruCraft is a second-generation, family-owned and veteran-owned roofing and construction company serving Union Township and the greater Clermont County area, along with Greater Cincinnati and the Tri-State region. While our services have grown to include residential roofing, commercial roofing, construction solutions, pre-engineered metal buildings, and custom metal fabrication, our values have remained the same.
What Family- and Veteran-Owned Means to Us
Being family-owned means we think long-term. Every decision reflects on our name, our reputation, and the legacy we’re building.
Being veteran-owned means we bring discipline, accountability, and integrity into every project. Commitments matter. Communication matters. Follow-through matters. These principles guide our teams on every jobsite—whether we’re working on a single-family home or a large commercial facility.
Serving the Union Township Community
As highlighted in Union Township’s Local Business Spotlight, TruCraft is proud to play a role in projects that make a meaningful difference close to home. Recent work includes projects at Eastgate Station, multiple additions for Total Quality Logistics (TQL), and the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Eastgate facility—each reflecting collaboration, growth, and long-term investment in the community.
TruCraft has also contributed to the restoration of Cincinnati Nature Center’s Krippendorf Lodge and completed updates at West Clermont Middle School, supporting spaces where families, students, and neighbors come together.

These projects matter to us because they serve the same community where our own families live, learn, and grow.
Tailored Solutions for a Diverse Community
Union Township reflects a unique mix of older homes, new construction, and growing commercial spaces—each requiring the expertise of a trusted local roofing contractor. TruCraft approaches every project with care—listening first, educating clearly, and delivering solutions tailored to the structure, budget, and long-term goals.
Whether preserving the character of a long-standing home or installing a modern, energy-efficient roofing system, every project receives the same level of attention and craftsmanship.
Growth Rooted in Trust
TruCraft’s expansion didn’t happen through shortcuts or quick wins. As customers shared their experiences with friends, family, and fellow business owners, our reach naturally grew beyond Union Township and throughout Clermont County and the surrounding region.
That growth allowed us to invest in stronger teams, advanced tools, and broader capabilities—while staying grounded in the same values that built our reputation.
Our quality is our reputation.
A Project That Reflects Our Values
One project mentioned in Union Township’s spotlight that stands out involved helping a local veteran’s family facing storm damage and repair challenges. As a veteran-owned company, stepping in to help felt personal.
We worked closely with their insurance provider, guided them through every step of the process, and completed the project ahead of schedule. Moments like that remind us that our work is about more than roofs—it’s about trust, respect, and doing right by people.
Looking Ahead
Union Township will always be home base for TruCraft. It keeps us grounded in the values that shaped our company and reminds us why craftsmanship, honesty, and service still matter.
We’re grateful to Union Township for the recognition—and for the community that continues to trust TruCraft as their local roofing partner.
